You Can Help!
Your tax-deductible gift can help all children receive the Smart Start that they need and deserve. We rely on contributions from people like you to do critical work for children and families.
Your contribution will help us do great things like:
Advance innovative programs to address North Carolina children’s most pressing needs.
Often times our research and evaluation leads us to recognize a critical need in communities across the state – but waiting to go through the process of program approvals and allocating state dollars doesn’t help us meet some needs quickly enough. Private donations let us get to work quickly to meet the needs of our children and families as soon as possible on important issues like childhood obesity, early literacy, parent support, and so many more.
Help local Smart Start partnerships be the best advocates for the children and families in their own communities.
There is a local Smart Start partnership serving every single county in North Carolina. We work hard to help them do a good job by providing training, support and technical assistance. We help them run stronger programs, be more financially accountable, increase local community support through outreach and fundraising activities, and more. We know that we have to be strong at every level if we are to be the best advocates for children and families.
Be a strong voice for children and families everywhere.
The truth is that legislative allocations only meet some of the needs of children and families. However, we are not allowed to use legislative dollars to advocate for more resources. We need you to help us be the strongest voice out there for our children and families.
